Migrant Tales was named as one of seven anti-racist web site in Finland, according to a thread by “Tutkija” on Vaasa Forum. While Counterjihadist and anti-immigration websites have sprung up like mushrooms in Finland, anti-racist forums are one answer to the message of hate of these latter sites.
The Perussuomalaiset party openly and indirectly supports a number of Countejihadist and anti-immigration web sites in Finland like Hommaforum and Scripta.
“Tutkija” describes Migrant Tales as ”a quality [anti-racism] online publication in Finland written in English.”
Other anti-racist sites cited by Vaasa Forum include:
- Jussi Halla-ahon kootut sanansa syömiset (Facebook)
- Vallan vahtikoira (blog)
- Die Fahne hoch (blog)
- Todellisuuteen (blog)
- Perussuomalaista vihapuhetta (blog)
- Kokoomuksen ja Perussuomalaisten vastainen kansanrintama (Facebook)

Well this blog is quality compared to all those garbage sites listed by “tutkija”.
Because they are not anti-racist, more like anti-PS.

I personally have an issue with the PS for a very simple reason: they want to take away my right to live in Finland as an equal. I think many visible minorities and immigrants feel the same way about the PS. In other words, if you don’t think, never mind look like the ideal prototype Finn, you well be relegated to second- or third-tier status in Finland. You can be treated as an equal but it will always be an uphill battle throughout your life.
We are as much interested in historicity as those who use it to socially exclude other groups.
You have propably misunderstood something. PS doesn’t want that.
tp1.
tp1. Tell us what do they want if they don’t want to take away immigrant rights. Even me i perceive same like that Enrique said. They want to marginalise us, treat us unequal-second class citizens and immigrants are against that.
Akaaro, you’ve to understand that tp1. is not the target of prejudice and discrimination, it’s us immigrants who’re being victim of PS discrimination. I kind of understand why tp1 is finding hard time to to see what’s going on in this country, he sees nothing wrong with the racism tht’s circling around. When your not a target then you can’t understand what’s like to be a target, only one way could tp1 know what’s like to be discriminated, only if he end up being a victim of discrimination oneday.
Akaaro, PS wants lots of things, just look up their program from their website.
The question here is that you claim that they want to take your rights away. That is not true. It is your responsible to show any evidence to backup that claim.
So: Please give me one example/fact about PS wanting to take your rights away. How are they supposed to take those rights away?
It now seems that you hate PS based on incorrect information. You should check the facts and then you propably realise that what PS wants is actually good for you and you should vote for them to make this country a better place.
I’m going to have to echo the first comment on here praising this blog as one of the top quality sites. It deals with combatting racism in a rational, reasonably and generally unbiased manner, unlike many other so-called “anti-racist” sites that divulge into the same type of rhetoric racists themselves use.
I thought Tutkija was the name of a publication or newspaper or something like that, but it’s just some poster on a random forum. What kind of authority is that? What a horrible source..some random person’s opinion presented like it’s objective fact or consensus. Why even write this entry? This site is not quality, it is embarrassingly amateurish and ridiculously biased but tries to veil itself as being legitimate and objective.
But we didn’t fool you, eh, known on this site of course for passing on your extensive knowledge and wisdom on this topic. Not.
I find it particularly offensive that someone comes on here Lyra and attacks this site and has made absolutely no effort whatsoever to actually engage with the issues. Not only is this lazy, it’s no better than trolling.
Or would you care to add a bit more detail to your criticisms? Or are you not able to support what you say with actual argument?
For example, biased in what way and against whom?
Lyra
You are perhaps aware already, though some international readers of Migrant Tales might not be, that Tutkija means researcher.
Clearly this forum member is an experienced researcher on extremism and nationalism in Finland and gave a very detailed and knowledgeable summary of various aspects of nationalism and extremism in Vaasa and Finland in general.
Migrant Tales was mentioned in that context and it is nice to know that we are on the radar of the research community in this regard.
