It has only been four days after another person was apprehended in Imatra after crosssing the Finnish-Russian border. As in the first crossing, there was no aditional information given about who crossed and if the person was seeking asylum.
Why aren’t we told more?
In July 2023, the Finnish parliament passed the pushback law that allows the Finnish border authorities to send asylum seekers back to Russia without due process.
