How did some pocket-calculator demographers in Finland and Europe take the news that for the first time in U.S. history minority births surpassed over half of all births?
A pocket-calculator demographer is anyone who uses birthrate and calculates it with years to warn us that group x will outnumber us in numbers and take us over.
Kyösti Tarvainen, a senior lecturer at Aalto University, is one such pseudo-demographer who has warned us with his trusty pocket calculator about the Muslim population threat in Finland.
Similar predictions were made about the Jews of Finland in the 1880s. Today, however, our Jewish population totals a mere 2,000 souls.
The whole assumption that membership in our society is based on ethnicity instead of values and inclusion reveals what is terribly wrong in the ongoing debate. People are not a group per se, but are individuals with free will. They are not robots guided by an autocratic god called Culture as some would want us to believe.
The most important variable missing from the calculation of these pseudo-demographers is that cultures change constantly. Cultures takes in, rearrange, exchange and balance new ideas from their environment on a constant basis.
It’s wrong to think that we are first and foremost an ethnicity. The fact that we have been educated and brought up to think in this way reveals why racism, ethnocentrism and prejudice are so ingrained in our society.
Martin Luther King Jr. said it well in his famous I have a dream speech of 1963: “I have a dream that my four little children will one day live in a nation where they will not be judged by the color of their skin, but by the content of their character.”
King sanoi samassa puheessa kyllä myös että emme voi olla tyytyväisiä ennen kuin Etelässä musta voi äänestää ja pohjoisen ghetton mustalla on jotakin miksi äänestää. Emme voi olla tyytyväisiä ennen kuin Etelän mustan ei tarvikse pelätä henkensä edestä ja Pohjoisen ghetton musta ei ole poliisi väkivallan armoilla.
“But we refuse to believe that the bank of justice is bankrupt. We refuse to believe that there are insufficient funds in the great vaults of opportunity of this nation. And so, we’ve come to cash this check, a check that will give us upon demand the riches of freedom and the security of justice.”
“It would be fatal for the nation to overlook the urgency of the moment. This sweltering summer of the Negro’s legitimate discontent will not pass until there is an invigorating autumn of freedom and equality. Nineteen sixty-three is not an end, but a beginning. And those who hope that the Negro needed to blow off steam and will now be content will have a rude awakening if the nation returns to business as usual. And there will be neither rest nor tranquility in America until the Negro is granted his citizenship rights. The whirlwinds of revolt will continue to shake the foundations of our nation until the bright day of justice emerges.”
“There are those who are asking the devotees of civil rights, “When will you be satisfied?” We can never be satisfied as long as the Negro is the victim of the unspeakable horrors of police brutality. We can never be satisfied as long as our bodies, heavy with the fatigue of travel, cannot gain lodging in the motels of the highways and the hotels of the cities. We cannot be satisfied as long as the negro’s basic mobility is from a smaller ghetto to a larger one. We can never be satisfied as long as our children are stripped of their self-hood and robbed of their dignity by signs stating: “For Whites Only.” We cannot be satisfied as long as a Negro in Mississippi cannot vote and a Negro in New York believes he has nothing for which to vote. No, no, we are not satisfied, and we will not be satisfied until “justice rolls down like waters, and righteousness like a mighty stream.”¹”
Siinä katkelmia I Have Dream puheesta. Ne osat joiden takia King oli vihattu ja inhottu useimpien valkoisten silmissä. Niitä osia joita valkoiset liberaalit eivät halua siteerata, koska se voisi pahoittaa valkoisen miehen tunteita ja pakottaisi heitä tekemään jotakin. Helpompaa on vain litistää King yhteen lauseeseen joka ei edes kunnolla edusta Kingin kantaa rasismista.
Amerikassa tilanne on tosi mielenkiintoinen. Ensimmäistä kertaa historiassa ei-hispanialaiset valkoiset ovat vähemistönä. Tämä muutos on johtaa varmasti ääri-rasististen liikkeiden ja muuraattujen yhteisöjen nousuun. Koska mustashan, hispanialaiset, ruskeat(brown) ovat väkivaltaisia ja heitä vastaan on suojauduttava. Toisaalta muutos tulee tapahtumaan myös poliittisessa kentässä. Mitä vähemmän valkoisilla on poliittista valtaa, sitä pelokkaampia valkoiset ovat ja sitä enemmän rotu väkivaltaa.
Suomessa uhka, että värilliset ylittäisivät valkoiset on käytännössä olematon. Värillisiä on liian vähän jotta kykenisimme lisääntymään tehokkaasti. Arabien ja afrikkalaisten keskuudessa on paljon enemmän miehiä kuin naisia. Jotta Värilliset voisivat kasvaa ekponentialisesti, on jostakin saatava lisää naisia ja suur perheistä pitäsisi tulla normi myös toisen ja kolman sukupolven jälkeläisille.
Lestadiolaiset ovat johdonmukaisesti kasvattaneet suurperheitä nyt noin 5-7 sukupolven ajan, joten tällaisen logiikan mukaan Suomessa asuisi jo reilusti yli miljoona lestadiolaista. Missä he ovat piileskelemässä?
